Influencing Factors according to the Stress Perception in Korean Adolescents

Abstract
Objectives: This study was conducted to examine the differences between the demographic, dietary, health type, and mental health factors according to the perception of stress in Korean adolescents in everyday life, and to identify the factors affecting the perception of stress.

Methods: For this study, chi-square analysis was performed on the difference between the cognitive group and the non-cognitive group of adolescents' usual stress, and multiple logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the influencing factors.

Results: Factors influencing adolescents' stress perception were gender, school classification, economic status, economic status change after COVID-19, smartphone dependence, subjective health perception, subjective happiness, body shape, sadness and despair experience, suicidal ideation, loneliness

Conclusions: Demographic factors, undesirable dietary factors, health-related patterns, and mental health factors were related to the perception of stress in everyday life. Based on these conclusions, there should be a development and dissemination of health promotion programs for young people in the future.
